The first stop was the Bountiful Cemetery. We were able to see three graves there, my brother Troy, my niece Johannah and my cousin Alexander. I often think about my brother Troy. He was my parents oldest and died after an hour and a half from phenomena. It is comforting to know that I will be able to be with and know him again.
I will never forget my nieces funeral. She was three months old when she died. Her funeral was pretty much the first time that I realized that Families are Eternal. My sister will be with their daughter again and so will I. I cherish the memories that I have while I was able to hold her.
On the way to the cemeteries Grandma would share stories about her life growing up, about my father and Grandfather. I was twelve when my Grandpa Adamson died from complications from a stroke. His funeral was during my first year of girls camp so I decided, along with my two sisters, to go to girls camp instead of to the funeral. That year at camp I grew so close to my sisters in ways that I would have never imagined. I remember the day of the funeral was a really hard day for all of us.
When my Grandma would get to her husbands grave she would write the words "I love you" on his grave with pine cones. It was very touching. Since she has passed away, I hope that her grandchildren or her children continue to do this tradition.
I truly cherished the moments that I was able to spend with my Grandma Adamson. She was the kind of person that made everyone feel special. Everyone thought she was Grandmas favorite because she treated us all that way. I remember one day just popping over to her home and she was not there. We went across the street to play at the park for a couple of minutes and we found that she was at the park at an Enrichment Night for her ward. She was so excited to see us and introduced us to everyone. Another great memory of her is that she loved going to Paces Dairy Ann in Bountiful. It has great hamburgers and great shakes! Every time we go to Utah, I have to go to Paces. She would take me there and she always got a cherry marshmallow shake. It was fun. She had the biggest heart and was continuously serving others. She had such a strong testimony and she constantly shared it with us and with others. The Christmas before she died she gave each of her children and grandchildren a video of her bearing her testimony to us. This is a treasure that I will always cherish.
My Grandma and Grandpa Darley also had a special place in my heart. My Grandpa was great at telling stories about the war and about Airplanes. He loved birds and could tell you the different kinds of birds that came into his back yard. My Grandma was so kind and loved holding my children when they were babies. One day Mitchell and I took both Grandma Adamson and Grandma Darley to Antelope Island. They both had the greatest time talking with each other. We took a picture of the two of them eating at a picnic table. I did not notice that I had this picture until I developed my film after Grandma Adamson died. It is a very special picture.
I am so thankful for the many people that I have had in my life that have passed on such a wonderful legacy. I love each one of them and can not wait until I get to hold them and hug them once more.

We had a little parade around the block where we sang some patriotic songs and the girls blew horns.

While the flag was being raised we sang the Star Spangled Banner and cited the Pledge of Allegiance.

It was a very touching experience to watch the flag being raised then lowered to half mass for the people who have been killed in Iraq. I am so thankful for all of the men and women who are fighting so that I can be free to choose what I want. I hope that one day my children will truly understand the meaning of freedom and the meaning of our great American Flag.

Every year our elementary school does a fundraiser called Run For Fun. Lindsay and Ashley asked that I come to the school to cheer them on.

At the finish line. Great job girls!
