I swear that I feel like I have lived in the Doctors office lately. I have had a dentist appointment, eye doctor appointment and my 6 week with Dr Bair and the kids have all had physicals and eye appointments and they will soon have dental appointments. I love our Doctors and they say that our kids are doing really well so I guess I can not complain.

Calvin - At his two month appointment he looked great and did such a good job. He had to have four shots and he cried for a couple of minutes then was fine. The day after his shots was when he had his reaction and cried a lot. I felt so bad for the little guy. He weighed 9 lbs 13.7 oz which is in the 5th percentile for weight and his height was 21 inches which is the 10th percentile and his head was 38 cm which is tenth percentile.

He is growing so fast. He is pretty much out of his newborn clothing but his 0-3 months clothes drown him so it makes it hard to dress the poor guy. He is doing really well at sleeping at night. He usually wakes up at 12, 3:30 and 7 which is manageable for me and as soon as he wakes up and eats he falls right back to sleep. He LOVES his binkie and we love his binkie also. He is such a content baby. Mitchell got a huge grin about a week ago and I have yet to get a smile but I know it will come soon enough. It is so fun having a baby in the house again!
I took this picture with my cell phone because it looks like he is praying but this is the way that he likes to sleep at times.
Calvin loves sleeping on anyone's chest. He is such a cuddle bug also. He is still in my bed at night but one day I will get sick of it and get him into his own crib.

Hailey - At Hailey's Eye Doctor's appointment we realized that she needs to get glasses and has to use them when she reads or does school work at her desk. She was so excited to choose her own glasses and I let her choose the ones that she wanted. She looks real cute and should get them any day.

She also had a physical and she had to get five shots. I was so nervous for her to get her shots that I made sure Mitchell could be there to help hold her down. We were ready for a fight. I was so proud of her. She held onto her dad and I was at her face so she did not peek and she did not even cry. I was so surprised at how well she did. She is such a big girl. She weighed 46lbs which is the 25-50 percentile and her height was 45 inches which is the 25th percentile.

She loves school. She has really became a great reader and constantly has a book with her. She loves to read chapter books. Her way of reading them is skipping over the words that she does not know. :) She understands quite a bit of it though. Her teacher tested her this past week and she is reading at a 1st grade level already.
Ashley - She also went to the eye doctor and we found that she needs to have glasses whenever she looks at the chalkboard or when she plays baseball or such so she can see balls coming toward her. She is excited to get her glasses. At her physical she also needed to get two shots and did so well also. I did not think that she needed to have any so both of us were shocked but now she is happy that she is done until she is 11. She is in the 25th percentile for her weight and 50th percentile for her height.
(Calvin loves it when Ashley holds him this way. I love how he just looks up and stares at her.)

She has started a writing club at school with her friends in which she is the team captain. She is constantly writing books and wants to be an author when she grows up. Her teacher, Mrs. Greenlee, is amazing and really helps her with her love of writing. She gives her great ideas on what to write her stories about.

Lindsay - We have the three blind mice in our home because Lindsay also needs to have glasses. She has bad eyesight in one of her eyes. The Doctor was concerned about one of the tests and did a second test on her and we found out that she has keratoconus. This is a degenerative disorder of the eye in which structural changes within the cornea cause it to thin and change to a more conical shape than its normal gradual curve (thank you wikipedia.) She may, in the future, have to have contacts and if those don't work a corneal transplant in which we hope that it does not get that bad.
We knew that Lindsay would have to have her 7th grade shot but we were not too excited to find out that she needed to have four. She did not like the idea of having four shots and kinda freaked out but once they gave her the first one she realized they were not that bad. She is in the 50th percentile for her weight and in the 10th percentile for her height. She also did really well during her physical.

We can not believe that she will soon be 12. She is growing up so fast and is becoming a beautiful young lady. It is so fun to watch her, and all of the girls, interact with their brother. She secretly tells him that she wants him to like her the most. :)
